Walnut Creek police Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the January 20 robbery of the Washington Mutual Bank on Oak Grove Road. Police say Brandon Lopez was arrested with the help of Concord police and that he confessed to the crime.

In the robbery, a man entered the bank, showed the teller a note, advising it was a robbery, received an undisclosed amount of money, and fled on foot. No weapon was seen.

Lopez has been booked into the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez on robbery charges and a parole hold.
