Sure, it might still officially be winter, and a storm moved through the Bay Area Friday, but there were other signs of spring. And, yes, they involved bright yellow flowers.
(But I guess these daffodils, planted at the entrance of Lafayette’s Happy Valley Road, are actually wanted, as opposed to the evil Yellow Star Thistle, a non-native, invasive weed that is the subject of an eradication effort in Shell Ridge Open Space, as I chronicled earlier today.)

SM, These are so pretty. Driving Northbound 680 from Alamo on the way back to Walnut Creek – have you ever seen giant patch of daffodils on the hillside? I always wonder, who plants those?
